How does guild rep work

This is most likely rounded down to 9, but following Blizzard's system, you will get the decimal numbers added to the next quest, so the previous quest can affect it in such way that you would get 10 guild reputation instead. You gain 1 guild rep per guild XP.

With the superlative guild rep perk and guild tabard, this is modified to I don't know how or when this happened, but initially this post was a reply to that of Flack's the post is longer up and features guild perks. Comment by In the 6 years I have been playing wow.

So now if that happens They lose all their guild rep to get back in? Comment by Possibly a stupid question but still it is my first.. If I were to join a guild with my main, get my guild rep high enough and then purchase heirloom items could I a transfer the heirloom to an alt not in any guild i. Finally c again if a is possible would my guildless alt then lose the heirloom if they joined a different guild?

Comment by Avasian If your Guild leader gets hacked and guild disbanded, Blizzard will recover everything for you BUT guild reputation wich resets to 0 as you re-join it only guild leader will keep it. No matter how many times you ask GM's: they wont restore your previous guild reputation. This is kinda lame since you'll loose 3 months of farming and you can't do anything about it.

Also you can only get rep from quests including dailies and Dungeons that you have 4 or more guildies in, other than that you cant not gain rep. Unless I am unaware of another way. Please let me know. Comment by Aowen Taat is wrong. The bonus rep gain won't increase the weekly cap. You will still be getting rep per week no matter how fast you do it.

At one point I was not keeping track , the guild rep just went away without my doing anything. I did the quit right after cata came out and noticed the guild rep gone in early Feb. So, it looks like you have something like a one month grace period to get over the drama and rejoin.

Hmm what happens if i push at war button? Comment by There are a lot of places with general guidelines but few specifics. The Wowpedia page was particularly disappointing. Please vote to sticky it. Comment by Mairin It appears to take 91 well 90 and a partial max level quests to cap your guild reputation for the week if those are your only source of rep regardless of any multipliers to rep you have.

The reason it doesn't vary is that the cap is still the base quest amount compared to the base cap of , the modifiers just tweak the end rep value see post a few above. Comment by superhumanben My biggest annoyance with it is it doesn't seem to be on a calendar week. Last week my cap opened back up on Tuesday and now, 1 week later it's still at cap. Unless it's week long hourly cap and won't unlock until the same time as last week. It is annoying because this should be my last week till Exalted.

Comment by I did some testing with Mr. As I returned few quests, which normally give 25 reputation, 27 with perk, I noticed it adds reputation with perks to your total rep, and only adds the reputation without perks to your weekly cap. So I got 27 rep, but only 25 rep for the rep cap. And yep, I'm living in patch 4. Comment by zzmorriss If I leave my guild after revered rep and after I have bought the rewards from being revered Do I lose the rewards?

My guild I have been in for almost 2 years is treating my like! I'd much rather be raiding somewhere else. The only reason I am still there is because I am almost revered and don't want to lose my rewards. Comment by kavash This reputaion counts for 45 Exalted Reputations and Ambassadors.

How the heck am I supposed to get it to progress? This is killing me. Comment by sivla If you decide you want to join a new guild, or are new to the game your in for a very rude shock. First up, the moment you join a guild, you automatically join as a recruit, which effectively means despite it saying your earning guild rep, you are definitely not.

Secondly, you need to become a member of a guild to get guild rep, if you are stuck at your current rank, then maybe think of moving on to a better guild, there is absolutely no purpose hanging around a guild that won't make people members of it. Everything else is relative, it's not terribly important. Guild mounts don't interest me, and neither does buying for gold, guild items that are virtually mediocre at the very best.

Unless they start introducing real perks into the guild rep system for you to buy your missing nothing! Comment by I am level If I solo any kind of dungeons, do I still get points for killing anything in them, or do I need a group?

Comment by How can i change the name of my guild? Comment by tfox13 Does anyone know if this is true: Guild rep is always a factor of guild xp earned right?

Guild xp earned is displayed as Guild activity in the guild roster is it not? Any way to go about checking the math for that? Weekly guild rep earned isn't displayed in game anywhere, is it? Replying to myself, for the curious: It appears that guild rep isn't capped at all. What is capped is your weekly guild activity your contribution to guild xp and as a result of that cap you can't earn more than specific amounts of guild rep per week. Currently you can only earn 1,, xp for your guild every week this is "Guild activity".

That limit is expressed, after perks and racial bonuses and presumably other effects as a variable cap on guild rep. Comment by tfox13 Guild reputation is gained through the following means: Turning in a quest Guild group boss kills Guild group pvp activity Certain levels of guild reputation are required to purchase and use some guild rewards. It was initially believed that the guild perk increased the amount of reputation you were able to gain each week with your guild each week, but when patch 4.

However after testing this was found to only be partially true, and both the human racial and the guild perk DO have an effect. If you are kicked from or leave a guild, you do not lose your reputation with that guild immediately. You will lose it if you:. Note that upon joining a different guild, your Guild reputation is knocked down a level - if you had reached Exalted with your previous Guild, you will drop to Revered with your new Guild. When meeting certain reputation levels, your guild tag will change.

Please note that your tag can only be seen by yourself by turning the 'My Name' option on in the Name display options and your guildmates. Wowpedia Explore. Main Page All Pages.

Content Update Notes. Looking back in comments, there is no sign of it. I've done so much rep grinding, and so long ago, the reps all sort of get fuzzy. Well, dailies should work. Cata dailies and Pandaria dailies may be faster than regular questing? Do even the very lowest level quests give the same rep? I see a note in the comments that the tabard stops working when you go through a portal like Molten Front, and you have to re-equip to get the rep increase back.
